The Problem

Movemate faces challenges in growing their business to B2B as their website only focuses on B2C. Hence, they want to redesign their website and the booking app to make it a seamless experience for the users and define both the categories profoundly on their web platform.

Project Objectives

Our core mission was to redesign the booking app for MoveMate, mainly focusing on the following:


Make the booking process seamless: The project focused on reducing steps, eliminating confusion, redundancy and differentiating the app from competitors.

Develop a strong User Persona: Without a clear understanding of the main target audience in a new market, the product struggles to effectively reach, connect and seed trust with potential customers.

Increase brand awareness: To make Movemate more familiar and recognizable to potential customers, and to create a strong memorable image in the minds of consumers.

Establish a strong User Experience theme & Strategy: We want our users to feel like they are part of a community that shares their values, where they can learn, engage, and explore our services in a way that feels personal and authentic.

The Approach

Persona Development: Created detailed personas representing different audience segments.

Competitive Analysis & SWOT: Analyzed competitors and identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

Content Audit: Assessed existing content to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Current State and Heuristic Analysis: Evaluated the client's current digital presence to highlight areas for optimization.

User Experience Theme & Strategy: Developed a UX Theme and strategy which closely aligned with the brand's core values.

User Flow & High Fidelity Mockup: Designed user flows and high fidelity mockups for a visualized digital experience.

Educational Content Strategy: Developed content strategy to educate potential buyers about Movemate's features and services.

We developed these User Personas through thorough research and analysis.

Current State Analysis

In our analysis of Movemate's current booking web app, we identified both the platform's strengths and opportunities for improvement. By highlighting key areas of success alongside aspects that could benefit from refinement, we gained a clearer understanding of where to focus our efforts. This approach allowed our team to prioritize what's most impactful while ensuring that minor adjustments push the overall user experience in the right direction.

Competitive Analysis

We analyzed similar platforms/competitors, highlighting areas which we believe, we can expand MoveMate's services based on what is currently available on other moving platforms.

Learnings: All of the competitors mentioned have a digital presence and offer online booking and tracking services to varying degrees. Some competitors, such as PODS and U-Haul, have particularly strong websites with comprehensive information and mobile apps for on-the-go management.

User Experience Theme

We subsequently developed a UX Theme closely aligned with the brand's core values.

We want our users to feel like they are part of a community that shares their values, where they can learn, engage, and explore services in a way that feels personal and authentic.

User Strategy

And then we build the strategy based on the UX Theme

User Flow

Based on what we learnt from Persona Development, Competitive Analysis, Current State & Heuristic Analysis and User Experience Theme & Strategy, we designed user flows and created high fidelity mockups for a visualized digital experience.
